Your weekend: Reunion, gymnastics and hog roast are on the schedule

Class of 1955 reunion

The Farmington High School class of 1955 will hold its 60-year reunion the weekend of Aug. 21-23. The dinner will be at Celts on Saturday, Aug. 22, with a social hour beginning at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m., program and continued conversation after dinner.

On Friday evening, Aug. 21, there will be an informal gathering at Carbone’s in Farmington beginning at 5 p.m. Farmington High School graduates from other classes are welcome to stop in.

Twist-n-Tumble Gymnastic Center Open House

Twist-n-Tumble Gymnastics, Farmington Community Education’s youth gymnastic program, will hold a public open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Twist-n-Tumble Gymnastics Center at 510 Walnut St. The staff will be on hand to share program information and to answer questions about the equipment, new programs, Xcel Competition Teams and to give tours. Participants will be invited to take part in activities and games and to register for prize drawings.

Annual Hog Roast at Castle Rock United Methodist

The Castle Rock United Methodist Church is hosting their annual hog roast from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. August 23 at their church. There will be a silent auction from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and music by “Turn Around” from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Cost is $14 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-10, and kids 5 and under are free.
